These features should be low cost, a very good quality touch screen monitor, an easy to read and visible interface.

The street maps should also be clearly visible. The route you will take and your current position highlighted so that you can see them even in the darkness. The various street names, railway crossings, hospitals, and other venues of importance should be shown and stated well. The voice prompts which are part of the gps systems should be heard clearly even on a cheap gps.

As technology is meant to help us you should choose the items which will provide this help. While getting the brand new products that are available can show your status and prestige you will need to pay a substantial price.
